The Number One Biggest Mistake That Internet Marketers Make

Are you frustrated with your ad campaigns?  Does your advertising cost you more than it makes?  There is one overriding reason that most ads fail.  The simple truth is that no one cares how much you like your product; no one cares about you or how much money you make; no one cares about your kids or your dog; no one cares about your company or the fact that it is debt free.  Every persons’ favorite subject is their self.

Any time a person is searching on the internet they are focused on their own wants and needs.  People don’t search online to find out about what you need or want or like.  They are only interested in how you can help them get what they need, want or like.

Successful ads focus on the customer not on you!  Get out of your own head and try to get inside your customers head.  People care about themselves and solutions to their problems.  The only time your story is relevant to them is when it relates to their own personal experience and because of that it is empowering to them.

If you want to make more sales and more money, your ads must focus on benefits, not features.  It is an old and true cliché, features tell-benefits sell.  People buy benefits, not features.

Your ad campaigns, your landing pages, your auto-responder messages and every contact with your audience, must focus on what people want and need.  When people see and feel that you are focused on their wants and needs rather than your own, they will want to do business with you.  If you offer unbiased and helpful information without trying to sell your product, people will see you as an authority, they will feel that you want to help them and they will want to expand their relationship with you.  This is the heart of effective relationship marketing and it is exactly what you want to be doing.

Whenever you help others get what they want and need they will be eager to help you get what you want and need.  Give with out expectation and you will receive more abundantly than you could ever wish for.  This is an absolute fact of business, the more value you provide to others the more successful you will become.
